Situated about 75 yards from the Cape Fear River, the studio's location alone radiates a distinctive vibe, enhanced by its proximity to historical landmarks like a decommissioned Civil War-era swing bridge. The setting, rich in history and natural beauty, provides a serene environment conducive to creativity and relaxation for artists.
Starting from scratch...
Transforming the previously dilapidated cinderblock structure into a state-of-the-art recording studio was no small feat. The building, once a bait shop, had sat vacant for 12 years with a rotted roof and busted windows. Chase O’Neal, drawing on his extensive background in music and recording, spearheaded the renovation, ensuring that the studio's acoustics matched its vibrant atmosphere.
The Acoustic Treatment Phase:
This is where Next Generation Acoustics came into play! Our team was thrilled to contribute to this project, designing and installing custom, hand-made acoustic panels that not only met, but exceeded the studio's requirements. Our hand made Acoustic Panels, Bass Traps and Diffusers were a perfect match for Chase’s vision and the vibe of the studio. We worked together to make sure the overall plan would provide superior sound treatment, that not only enhances the studio's aesthetics but also it's already impressive acoustic environment.
Our custom panels were meticulously crafted to handle the studio's unique challenges, optimizing sound clarity and minimizing unwanted noise. The careful placement and design of these panels were essential in achieving the studio’s remarkable sound quality - which has since been praised by producers and artists alike.
